Daisy Scouts earn petals as they learn about different founding principles of girl scouts. In addition to the petals, girls can complete journeys that focus on natures and science, animals, and helping out in their community. Participation in journeys and trips are optional since they occur outside of the regular meeting time.
Fundraising
So many people love girl scout cookies, and we are so glad they do. The cookie sales are the best way to raise money for the troop to help pay for troop activities, supplies, and patches that the girls earn. For now, fundraising has allowed our troop to not require dues for our grils. As the troop becomes more active, this may change, but selling cookies is very easy since so many people have their favorite cookies that they purchase every year. Other fundraising opportunities occur throughout the year too.
